ユリ・ゲラー
エスパーポケモン「ユンゲラー」に対し、ユリ・ゲラー氏が名誉毀損として提訴。スプーンを曲げる超能力系キャラとして、自分のイメージを勝手に使われたとのこと。このとき、任天堂側の弁護士が機転を利かし、裁判中「このキャラクターは超能力が使えます。もし貴方とこのキャラクターが似ているというなら是非ここで超能力を使ってみてください」と冗談と皮肉を混ぜた口上でユリ・ゲラーを沈黙させ、結局すぐに控訴を取り下げた。
